«A basin with a bird that displays a decoration with wide foliage on the rim and flowers – that are next to a bird on the well. This is a mass-produced piece, for everyday use, made in the workshops of Puente del Arzobispo, Talavera de la Reina [Spain], which has come to be known as “golondrinas” or “andorinhas” [swallows], due to the slender way in which the birds depicted are represented.»
