A faïence jar, painted in blue and violet, decorated with a running deer in a landscape. According to Alexandre Nobre Pais, the vegetation, the stones, the details of the deer’s antlers and the lighting and shading may indicate that this piece was made in a Spanish workshop. However, it could have also been made in a Portuguese workshop, given that the subject represented has similarities with Portuguese faïence pieces dating from the third quarter of the 17th century.
