A faience jar, painted in blue and violet, decorated with a deer running through a landscape. For Alexandre Nobre Pais, the vegetation, the stones, the details in the deer’s antlers and the lighting and shading may indicate that this piece was made in a Spanish workshop. But it could have also been made in a Portuguese workshop, given that the subject has similarities with Portuguese faience pieces dating from the third quarter of the 17th century.
