«A plate painted in cobalt blue, with a floral motif on the well, which is skirted by a vegetal motif stripe and ‘beads’. On the rim there are linked motifs. This decoration – similar to textile patterns of the day – is the distinctive symbol of Coimbra’s Faience, giving it a distinct shape and a special style which is closer to the people who used these pieces.»
Alexandre Nobre Pais
