The woman leans over her naked son, who emerges from a rolled-up cream-coloured cloth, leaning tenderly against his mother. They look at each other with a fixed, questioning gaze, but one full of great affection.
The two characters are under a leafy tree, with a rugged landscape as their backdrop, featuring a very high mountain. A small house is visible halfway up the mountain.
