On August 20, 2020 the Portuguese Veteran statute was approved under the Law no. 46/2020. This legislations grants free entrances in Museums for Portuguese Veterans.

On May 18 we are celebrating the International Museum Day. In order to mark this date, the museums under the Direção Regional de Cultura do Norte have free entrances: Abade de Baçal Museum, in Bragança; Alberto Sampaio Museum and Ducal Palace, in Guimarães; Terra de Miranda Museum, in Miranda do Douro; D. Diogo de Sousa Museum and Biscainhos Museum, in Braga; and Lamego Museum.
