This Monday, May 9, the Castle will be closed to public until 2:00PM. A filming session will take place, which will make it impossible for visitors to visit the Monument. After 2:00 PM, the visitation will take place unhindered until 6:00PM and the last admission is at 5:30PM.

As usual, on the 1st of May, the monuments of the Latito Hill (Guimarães Castle, Church of S. Miguel and the Ducal Palace) will be closed to public. On the 3rd of May, due to a State Protocol event, the Ducal Palace will also be closed. However, on this day, the Guimarães Castle and the Church of S. Miguel will be open to public. Please note that the acquisition of tickets to visit the Castle is only possible at the entrance of the Ducal Palace.

Back to the regular route... As of today, after several months of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our museum is again fully open to our visitors. The Armoury, the St. Michael’s Chamber and the Bedchamber "Catarina de Bragança" are, once again, open, following the DGS recommendations. We await your visit!
